I live in NC, I pleaded guilty to 3 misdemeanor (simple assault). Can I have my record expunged, purged or sealed so that I can get a job? Your time and concern is greatly appreciated.

Expungements are possible in NC if you meet certian criteria. However, while an expungement can be helpful, there are certian job and other applications (especially law enforcement and government jobs) that will directly ask if you have had an expungement in which case you would need to disclose the expungement. Most any general practice attorney can do an expungement and some offer free consultations that will give you an idea of the cost involved and if you are eligible.
