Benjamin Cash Bio:
'Cradle' (previous band) has always been an entity derived from Benjamin Cash's head. Since the year of 1993, when Ben was 13 years old, and Grunge was the sound tackling the airwaves with full force, it was apparent that guitar playing was the key to expression without consequences.
The major influence that brought about the urge to vent through music was the amazingly gritty sound of Nirvana. Self-taught, and full of ambition, Ben would practice for hours and hours until a certain chord progression or riff was perfected. While always finding poetry and written expression easy to produce, writing lyrics and original music came very naturally to him.
Throughout High School bands were formed, music demos recorded, and more and more influences fell into the mix. Now, with Nirvana dead but not gone, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, and Alice in Chains soon filled the void.
There have been plenty of ups and downs, hundreds of demos, 3 full-length albums, trial and error, love and tragedy.
The most recent album, "The Red In Me" was thought to be the last in Ben's music endeavors. The need to be picked up by a label became validation that he had never achieved. Besides a few indie label bites, no major publication and/or major distribution contracts arrived in the mail, in response to one of the many demos sent out.
Until one day in April 2009.
"The Red In Me" was released via iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, and Emusic.
He had been signed as a solo artist by DBM Records.
That lasted for about a year, due to the fact that Warner became involved, and kicked him off of the label.
Currently in the studio with more ambition than ever, Benjamin Cash has produced bigger and better singles. So far, with songs like "Ugly" and "Down To Waste", he has gained more attention and recognition than ever before. While shopping labels for the right distribution deal (he was previously signed with DBM/Warner/ILG), Benjamin Cash promises to his long-time fans that the new album, currently titled "Down, Wasteful and Ugly", will break previously built barriers with a melodic yet gritty sound, better vocals than ever before, and singles that will stick to your brain like glue.

A personal message from Ben:
My name is Benjamin Cash, and I'm the creative force behind Cradle. I played in a band for a few years, but since then, I've been writing and recording on my own. I've gone through a couple of live bands in the past, But until I decide to put together a live band for the new album, It's all me that you are hearing. I played every instrument on all 3 Cradle albums. (so far) I've been writing and recording for over 16 years, and I love it. I first started with the guitar. My Dad had bought it for me when I was 11 yrs old, and soon after he passed away. I was never interested in playing it until I found it in a closet about a year after his death. Anyway, I worked really hard and I know that I've made him proud. Since then, I've learned to play drums, bass, and a little bit of keyboards. In 2005, I completed recording my very first album. I had a single called "Birth Day" that hit 1 for four weeks on the U.K. Independent Music Charts. That was pretty damn exciting. I had a couple of bites from some small indie labels, but nothing to brag about.
I am currently negotiating a release for the 4th up-coming album. Stay tuned!
