What is the required radius for turning a supertanker?
According to "Albanian Macedonian Bulgarian Oil (ABMO) Pipeline Project Reference Domument", the turning radius of a 300 meter long tanker is 1200-1500 meters (approximated 3/4 of a mile to a mile). According to Wikipedia's "List of world's longest ships", Supertankers/Container ships range from 330 to 458 meters long.
