if money was put in a savings account for my children by godfather (in their name and using their ssn) but the poa closed the account and the he has died can i still get that money for my kids?

If the account is active, with a POD (payable on death) to your children, yes, your
children can receive the benefits. If the POA was used to close the account before
the godfather died, the answer is no unless it can be shown the account was
wrongfully closed.
