Is it normal to sign a malpractice wavier in a personal injury case when I change from one law firm to another? The first firm eliminated it's PI practice and left me with no representation. The firm taking the case on wants me to sign a malpractice waiver to protect themselves. Thank you.
Answer
The short answer to your question is that such an agreement would not be enforceable and would further likely be considered unethical. You may wish to seek other counsel. Please feel free to contact my office to schedule a free consultation.
