I became a Christian 5 years ago. Jesus really changed my life. A few things I did before I was a Christian and I am considering if God wants me to turn myself in for them. I just wanted to know what you think and how that would work.
-Did business deceptively/dishonestly on eBay to make money when I was 15-16 years old (since I have been a Christian I have sent at least an email, and if they did not respond to that also an eBay message, and physical letter to everyone I felt like I did bad business with....everyone who responded I paid back) I was 15-16 years old when I did the bad business.
-When I was about 14 years old I copied video games for myself (rented them and copied them, probably between 7-15, but I don't remember exactly).
-When I was 16 years old I remember looking out my window from my house and I could see into my neighbor's bedroom a floor below me. I watched her without clothes on a number of times. After I became a believer I of course never have nor would do anything like this again, it was evil.
-------------------------------------------
Shortly after I became a believer, my friends and I had a firework on a hill, I dropped it and it started a small fire in the grass. We put it out (just burnt up a patch of tall grass, maybe 10 square feet) but the police came because a nearby house must have seen it. My friends lied and I stayed silent so the police did not do anything with us.
All of these are horrible sins for which I deserve an eternity in hell. I know Christ has forgiven me, because I trust in Him, and so He gives the gift of eternal life. However, I know also that sometimes we must walk according to the laws of the state. I just wanted to ask your opinion how turning myself in for these things might work, or what your advice would be.
God bless.
Answer
At this point, judgements on the errors of your past are best reserved to God.
