Many things happened in June of 1971.
For example, the Vietnam Veterans for a Just Peace stated their disapproval towards war protests on June 1.
The Ed Sullivan show was canceled on June 6.
Japanese and American representatives signed the Okinawa Reversion Agreement, which placed Okinawa under control of the United States, on June 17.
The voting age was lowered to 18 (26th Amendment) on June 30.
