What horse was Casey's Shadow based on?
Rocket's Magic trained by Lloyd Romero and ridden by his son Randy ( later hall of famer). The movie was actually based on the Romero family. Lloyd was a disabled state trooper who bought Rocket's Magic's dam already carrying him. He was undefeated going into the All American but finished third in the final.
