Question

My wife and I filed taxes jointly and were supposed to receive 32000 altogether. We only got 2670 direct deposit into my account. She owed IRS money thats why we didnt get the full refund. I spent all the money and recently I gave her back 1670 and the other 1000 im still figuring out if I should save it up for our child since we got 1000 for him on income tax.She is thinking about suing me if I don give her the 1000

Answer

I am very confused by your question. If you are married, then the money and the debts belong to both of you jointly. She can't sue you for money that belongs to both of you.
