Can a person work for church in exchange for rent, then the church issues them a check for the work, then they sign the check and return it to the church and receive tithe and offering credit for the full amount? This does not seem legal to me. Thank you for your consideration. Richard

its not illegal it is ok however the employee cannot work for more than 8 hours daily for regular pay.
