How do you get into vermilion city in yellow?
After helping Bill (north of Cerulean), go to the house near the nugget bridge to the right (a little above the gym). Pass through there and a Rocket member will battle you and will give you the Dig TM when you win. Follow the route round and keep heading south. Eventually you will see a small house on the right. This will lead you to another route which then leads to Vermillion city.
