What is the range of a fully loaded M915A2?
Estimated range of the A2 model is around 300 miles. Actual mileage will vary dependent on terrain, driving conditions, etc. These vehicles really aren't comparable to a civilian CMV for a number of reasons. For one, the A2 models used a much outdated motor - they had the Cummins Big Cam III motors from the M915A1s, albeit with some electric controls added. They also have much taller rear end gear ratios than what a civilian truck would have - rather than a 9, 10, 13, or 18 speed transmission, the A2 had a five speed mechanical Allison automatic transmission, and was rated to haul heavier loads than the civilian equivalent (the body of the A2 was a Freightliner FLD, with the rear axles and motor from the older M915A1s dropped in).
With a fuel capacity totaling 80 gallons, tentatively, the 300 mile range estimate would result in a 3.75 mile per gallon average, which, considering the outdated motor, and a drivetrain optimised for simplicity and ease of maintenance (rather than efficiency), and also the use of JP8 fuel rather than #2 diesel.... is probably a pretty reasonable conclusion to come to for the estimated range.
