Question

I am a buyer currently under contract to buy a property through a short sale in Missouri. The contract had been accepted by the seller. We were waiting on the bank to have an appraisal done. Yesterday my realestate agent called and said the seller was going to be required by law to go through the FHA streamline refinance option and would not be able to sell the property. Is this legal?

Answer

Unless you're ready to tender (pay) the purchase price, you may not be able to enforce the short sale contract.

Good luck
