I am caught in the middle of a civil suite. The opposing attorney tried to contact me at my job and since i was not there she left a message with a coworker of mine. In the message she left left she disclosed all info about the suite. My question is this: is something like this allowed? Are there any confidentiality guidelines attorneys have to adhere to?

Not in the scenario you have described--although courtesy and common sense would have dictated the opposing attorney to use discretion but since he or she did not have to he or she decided to screw with you.
You may file a Motion in Court and ask the Court to direct the opposing attorney to use discretion in leaving messages for you specially with your employer... but the Court does not have to agree with you.
