Can a girl wear boys' clothes and look cute?

Can a girl wear boys' clothes and look cute?
COURSE!
I'm from England by the way, if this is American, so when I mention shops I guess you'll have to improvise!

I hope your talking about the 14+ range as opposed to younger children because I am an EXPERT in the former.
God I love boys clothes. I'm a size 6/8 and am 5ft 8/9 so unfortunatley I can't really work boys jeans etc but I am a weathered wearer of boys shirts, cardies and sweaters.

My preferred peices are not fresh from the shelves of Topman, paying up to 35 for a cardie, I'm very much a Primark/Charity Shop girl so here's the lowdown on my favourite lads clobber:

1) Hoodies - Always in a S or a M. I have a huge Umbro hoody which I wear as a coat but can look cute with skinnies and a nice scarf. Also, I have a plain grey what I call 'Jock Sweater' which looks cute, again, which skinnies, a nice necklace or statement scarf.
Latest Bargain - Grey Jock Sweater, 4 Primark.

2) Cardigans - Primark is GENIUS for this. I have them in the most gorgeous shades, all for 6 and under. Rust coloured, neutral beige, Teal, Grey, Black, all fantastic to wear loose with a tight shirt underneath, shorts/skirt and tight, or with a nice waist belt if you're a more petite frame.
This trend has been brought into the girls section, particularly in shops like Topshop and Miss Selfridge but you can pay an absolute fortune for them so stick to men sections in more bargainous stores.
Alternativley, hit the charity shops and make sure to check womens larger sizes such as 14-16 for baggy cardies.
Latest Bargain - Gorgeous wool 'cricket' style cardigan, 5 Officer's Club

3) Shirts - Ranging from classic white to checked, striped and tartan, once again, stick to sales and especially charity shops. Wear them with a mans cardie and a waste belt, or leave them unclinched with shorts/skirt and tights. Be careful though, as more petite frames may be swamped. My favourite style has to be wearing a mans white shirt with tights, but BE CAREFUL, make sure the shirt is large but is FITTED so it doesn't look like your dressing up for some form of party. My best finds have been in charity shops, such as a mans L burgundy and white stripe shirt for 2.75 and a Ben Sherman tiny blue and white check shirt for 99p.
A good idea with mens shirts is to role the sleeves to AT LEAST the elbow. The forearm is a very femenine area, and revealing it will break up the otherwise drowning effect of a larger shirt.
Latest Bargain - Mens lovley fluffy blue, black and lime green check shirt, 3, Primark.

There's just a few of my favourite things, but think of it this way, you can wear ANYTHING that belongs to men, but they can't do the same!
GO WILD

:)
